How Konnect All Started
Konnect: WK Hub was created to help connect fans from around the world with the joy and fun of the KBO (Korea Baseball Organization). While I was living in Korea for college some friends took me to a baseball game for the Samsung Lions, the atmosphere and fan culture, as well as the welcoming nature of other fans and even the players, drew me in, and soon I was an avid fan.
As I talked with other foreigners about it and some tourists they all said the same thing: I love going to the games but I can't get into following a team because I don't speak the language or understand it.
That's when I realized I wanted to help these fans connect with the sport they loved even if it's with a team in Korea in a language they don't know. Using my experience with marketing from other jobs and content creation I decided to make the brand: Konnect.
*Konnect was originally called Samsung Ryann as a joke. It was meant as an homage to the team the Samsung Lions since in Korean Ryann and Lion are spelled and pronounced similar, however, I have since changed it since I have no affiliation with the team or company.

Hello~ You can call me Ryann – pronounced just like "Ryan." I'm a Digital Creator and founder of the brand 'Konnect' with a passion for connecting people across cultures through my content. With certifications in marketing and sports marketing and currently getting a degree in Digital Arts and Media, I've found my skills in creating engaging and immersive experiences for audiences. My journey as a creator primarily revolves around YouTube and various social media platforms. I've taken it upon myself to bridge the gap between the KBO (Korea Baseball Organization) and international fans through my brand 'Konnect", helping them connect and stay informed about the world of Korean baseball even when they can't speak the language themselves. In the digital realm, I specialize in the art of Photoshop and video editing, using these tools to craft captivating visual stories for my own projects and clients'. However, as an artist I am often diverse in my expression, enjoying a wide range of creative endeavors. From painting to videos, makeup to music, and even dance, I love using art and creativity as a form of expression and story telling. I'm a language enthusiast at heart and find immense joy in learning new languages. My multicultural background plays a significant role in this pursuit. I was born in the vibrant state of New Mexico, moved to the heart of Texas, and later called Seoul, Korea my home. Each place has left a unique imprint on my life, and in return shaped the diverse perspectives that I use in my content and creative journey.
